I get the show needed an excuse to have them transform to fill the quota but I don't know, wouldn't that cloud make the parade a little bit more special, by how unusual they are?
You could even spin it into "sometimes bad stuff can bring good things" and even tie it up with the thing about Elle. How she being kidnapped by Kabaton, was a bad thing, that led to good things like all of them meeting and becoming friends

So a parent star told the king and queen to look after their savior of skyland till the time is right ok then. Makes sense since Elle does not have any similar features from her adoptive parents.

For some reason I thought, Mashiro would have had a more sadder moment about the line Ageha said of "there is nothing better than the love of a father and mother" (considering, you know, her parents are usually abroad)

It kinda feels like the episode wanted to be a mashiro and elle focus episode but got distrated a little halfway through

They defeated a Meanie Cloud. That's basically like beating the last boss. It's all over, now. Undergu Empire can't hope to stand up to the Meanie Cloud slayers; they're gonna throw in the towel. Just chill slice of life episodes for the rest of the series. :P
